White Barn Lane is a private site with no public access situated in Youlbury Wood on the south west slopes of Boars Hill. The site lies in the grounds of what was once the estate of Sir Arthur Evans. Whitebarn Lane is the access road for White Barn House. The lane runs across a causeway that has been built across a shallow valley. The work site itself is located in the stream that runs down this valley.

Note that that the post code for White Barn House will not bring you to the work site on White Barn Lane. Leave central Oxford on the Abingdon Road (A4144). Turn right onto the southern bypass and at the roundabout junction with the A34 take the second exit and drive up Hinksey Hill. Turn right onto Foxcombe Road. After 1.5km turn right onto Berkeley Road. After 400m turn right onto Ridgeway. Drive to the end of Ridgeway and at the junction with Sandy Lane turn left. After 200m turn right onto White Barn Lane. Look for a red post box and a private sign at the junction of White Barn Lane and Sandy Lane. Drive down White Barn Lane for approx 300m to a security gate. The work site is just beyond the gate, downhill, to the left of the causeway. Do not park on White Barn Lane. Continue on for another 300m over a cattle grid and turn right just beyond Youlbury Pool, where there are parking spaces.
