Last Tuesday, we held our Annual General Meeting. OCV is a registered charity, and run by a committee of volunteers. So at the AGM, we re-elected the committee and reported back about the past year. The meeting was held in the upstairs room of the Cape of Hope pub, with about 16 happy people attending – as you can see from the picture!
The meeting was chaired by Tim, who oversaw a lightening fast committee election (current committee re-elected). He thanked the committee and the fantastic leaders and drivers who made all of the tasks possible over the last year – that is more than 60 separate tasks with an average attendance at the normal Sunday tasks of 11.7 volunteers. The biggest turnout was 22 people, which happened on two separate tasks during the year.
The tasks have been really wide ranging, including building a kingfisher nesting bank, the foundations of a lake-side deck platform, and several dry stone walling projects, as well as hedgelaying, fencing, fen raking and scrub clearance.
The full annual report will be on the website very soon!
